If you’ve ever felt lost, confused, or disconnected, you may also know what it feels like to bring those vulnerable feelings to someone you trusted only to be met with dismissive, invalidating, judgmental, or even downright hateful comments.
I believe that the cornerstone of healing is in relation to others and aim to provide a space where you can feel free to ask yourself any question and share any part of you- especially the parts that have been rejected- by you or others. Through the use of human-centered, strength-based, ACT-informed therapy, I would support you in discovering how you can live a liberated life of authenticity.
I would consider it an honor to walk alongside you on your journey to learn what makes you who you are, what values drive your life, and how you can feel as seen, connected, and accepting of yourself as possible to ensure you live in the freedom you hope others feel around you. The main goal is to work me out of a job with you- meaning giving you the tools to continue on this journey to feel confident enough to face these challenges using the support network that you will have put effort into identifying, building, and nurturing.
My experience ranges from Intensive-Outpatient care for women struggling with substance use disorder, residential care for female-identifying adolescents, and outpatient therapy for adolescents and adults struggling with depressive and anxiety disorders, relational issues, and struggles related to gender and sexuality. LGBTQ+ issues are a deeply meaningful intersection of accepting ourselves and others that I find to be some of the most rewarding to work with.
